Cinnamon Honey Tea and Dr. Millers Holy Tea ( now named My Miracle Tea). The thing is, at the time I was also doing other things- exercising, counting calories ( with Dr. Miller) and now doing RCD and no sugar or refined carbs. So how do I know which part of my regime is loosing the weight?
I agree with Michael Hetherington's statement that " taking herbs alongside a healthy diet, exercise and other methods will provide much quicker and more effective results. Just taking herbs or a diet pill without engaging in other methods will bring little results."
With the green tea, I actually experimented and kept my food the same one week with the tea, one with out the tea. I did loose more the green tea week. Would I have anyway? Who knows? So many other factors play in. Yes I also kept the exercise the same. But Sleep/, Stress, energy levels ect.?
I already talked about cinnamon tea & honey under my honey post. Dr.Millers is a detox tea. The 1st 3 months I took it I did loose weight- well I was very constipated. Ever sense then I regularly use the tea- well- to stay regular. I've gone up & down the scale over 50 pound in this time. So it will detox you- but as in all things- there is more to weight loss than that.
Among other things in Michael's book " Losing Weight Without Dieting." he recommends 2 new to me teas to " tonify the stomach & spleen" ( explained why in book). They are Ginger and Ginseng. Hard to believe a woman named Ginger hasn't eaten or had ginger tea, but there it is. WOA Baby! Hot and Spicy! yes, I added honey-and liked it. Same with ginseng. If weight loss slows down using honey-I'll switch over to stevia. My Ginger tea is from Traditional Medicinals. My ginseng is Yogi's Ginseng Vitality ( says for stamina. I'll let you know if that's true when I start weeding again. I drink one or the other every day midway between breakfast and my dinner 5 hours later.
Now for the fun part. Above is a picture of a special gift I gave myself that arrived today. Up till now-starting around Thanksgiving-I've been trying out different herbal teas from my local grocery. I have one every night before bed. Sometimes with a muffin, fruit or nuts, sometimes the tea itself with honey is my nighttime "snack"- really 3rd of 3 "meals" a day. Monday I had tea at a new friends home and she brought out these really cool boxes of "Tea Forte" to choose from. I'm off caffeine so I decided to gift myself with their herbal selection, twenty different tea blends, all unique and interesting. Can't wait for Tea Time tonight. So many Choices. This helps me with my diet in that it keeps what goes in my mouth interesting, keeps me from that " I wish I could stand in front of the bakery-or sandwich window for that matter and make choices from all the goodies. Now I can make choices from all the Tea goodies. Thank You Judith for introducing me to Tea Forte and thank you Roxan for gifting it to Judith in the first place. My old friend and my new, love you both.
