There are so many ways to make losing weight fun. Ok ,you gotta admit , Linda's Diet is downright fun. Red is a fun color, I now wear my red clothes more than any other and get compliments in them! Seems it suites my coloring. I have fun trying new recipes and now having fun using a pendulum to decide on days menu. I pulled down the "good China" for solitary meals and bought fun "party" and "kid" paper plates for everyday usage. I'm having fun this winter trying different hot herbal teas which make me feel warm and cozy, esp the spicy ones. I pulled out those "gift" mugs for a lady that doesn't drink coffee. I am the worlds greatest Mom! I find new ways to move my body and that's not easy for a lady in a wheelchair. Tai Chi in a chair, Chair yoga, and several senior exercise video's- but most fun is just "chair Dancing". I saw a movie about this and do the best I can. All things to warm up- get the blood flowing inside on cold days as I wait for spring.
I love my cozy mornings this winter. I prepared what I call my "sunrise table" for a warm, chakra themed winter space I see as I open my eyes each morning. This is such a fun space with all the chakra colors from Left to right and corresponding crystals. My Oracle card decks are on bottom shelf. the cards pulled go on the table where I can check back during the day. My mornings vary what I do- always start with prayer, sunrise greetings to God, Gaia, the Fae, angles and nature spirits and all the creatures of this land. I love watching the sunrise, hearing the birds sing, watching the squirrels play before I even get up to light my candles. Sometimes all of them-mostly whatever chakra colors I feel a need for. They are all scented and the scent remains all day.
Speaking of candles I just started getting the healthier beeswax and veggie ones. Love the ones with wood wicks that crackle like a real fireplace making it so cozy, love feeling the warmth on my face as I light them. Often I light them at night and read in here . Who thinks about food in a space like this? Morning and night meditations are here as well. Even Penny sighs and cozies up next to me here-in fact she now hardly leaves the room. So Go out and find fun ways to fill your days with pleasure rather than food this winter.
