It seems this Fast has slowed down the speed of weight-loss-but has increased my connection with God. So what is more important here? It's all by His grace anyway.
I 'm surprised by how easy the not eating from sun-up to sun-down has been. Pushing back the hunger by praying I can do joyfully. It's the waking up early that has been hard, the off-putting schedule of not only my 3 x a day but what I eat-when. Just knowing I wasn't eating again till nightfall- I ate more than usual and at night I overate because I was starving when I sat down. My usual schedule is having my 1st meal at 9-10-or 11 AM depending when I wake up and then my 2nd meal 5 hours after the first and my 3rd snack meal 5 hours after the 2nd.
Also it looks like it's true that the more you weigh the faster you loose to begin with. I'm giving you my stats on my weight loss journey to show you what I mean:
1st month: lost 18 pounds
2nd month: lost 12 pounds
3rd month: lost 12 pounds
4th month: lost 13 pounds
5th month: lost 7 pounds
6th month: lost 7 pounds.
Now the thing is I've gradually eaten way less and exercised way more than when I began. I've never counted calories per se. Or carbs either. You can look back to my post on the first post of Dieting after RCD to see what I eat these days. This is not a quick race to a finish line for me, but a cross country that I can live with all my life with ease. I've gotten off the Yo-Yo- train. If the healthy train is slower-so be it.
OH! and notice I am doing the be happy- I'm joyful dance. I'm celebrating staying on a healthy eating plan for 6 whole months- Half a year!
